about
The poems and platitudes of wiser men...musings on sadness and loss...studied and memorized and meaningless in the moment.
lyrics
I like to think that when we die
Everything that makes us who we are that isn't our body
You know:
All the like...electric impulses in the brain
The stuff that makes our thoughts...
I like to think that when our heart stops
All those little signals
Keep firing
Even if just for a tiny bit
And spread out
They drift and float
And we get to see everything from every perspective at once
Calm and detached
No heart to race in panic
No skin to sweat in fear
No eyes to cry in sadness
Just a final sweet victory lap
Looking at the earth
Knowing you made it to the finish line
And now you can rest
Because nothing is your problem anymore

I used to think that the day would never come when I could feel like this again, when all my favorites are producing new music and we'd see a clear blue sky full of promise. I cannot hold all of this by myself, come pick up a song or two with me, yeah? Anathe Mal
Dark but designed to move you, this Dallas group uses menacing synths and popping live drum to make heavily rhythmic post-punk. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 13, 2019

Null Device is probably the most slickly produced music you will hear come out of Madison. Better yet, their music is quite highbrow. Insightful lyrics, a fusion of different styles and world instruments make them the kind of band you would think NPR would be featuring regularly. Josh Killcrop
